Our Story
The Boogie Down Grind started as a joint venture as part of the Birch Coffee family of coffee shops back in 2016.
On January 15th, 2017 — Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday and in honor of his commitment to economic empowerment in our communities — we re-launched as the Boogie Down Grind, celebrating it as 100% locally owned.
Located at 868 Hunts Point Ave in The Bronx, we are a hip-hop themed oasis in the heart of The South Bronx with room for up to 35 people indoors and even more in our award-winning outdoor seating.

A lifelong resident of Hunts Point. Three generations of her family were raised on Manida Street. Majora is a celebrated urban revitalization strategist and the founder of the Majora Carter Group.
